What is HardwareId or HOSTID?

HardwareId or HOSTID (HostId) also known as HOST ID or FLEXID - it is a Hardware Identifier of the scanner.

Where can I find HardwareId of my SIEMENS CT/MRI scanner?

This answer is actual for any type of scanners, including Ultrasound and others. There are several ways to get HardwareId of the scanner:

• The original way is to read a manual or other documents of the scanner. HardwareID (HOSTID) information must be located in it.
• Other way is more faster in case you have direct access to the scanner console at this moment. Just try to enter invalid data (any chars or digits) as Service Password to access Service Menu. You will got an error message with the following text:
  Error when checking license key: You entered an invalid license key.
  Please retry.
  If you need a new license key, you may order it for host ID 9-0c878031.
  If you use a dongle, please check your dongle also.
  
  
  Where host ID information is a required HardwareId.
• If you have an original license file from the scanner and can view it. It is named as "license.dat" file usually. Just open it in any text editor, and you will locate HardwareId in the special header.
• If you have an access to the scanner, you can view a "License Report" page.

Where can I find HostId of my UNIX-based SIEMENS CT/MRI scanner?

There are several ways to get HostId of the UNIX-based or other-based scanner:

• The original way is to read a manual or other documents of the scanner. HostId information must be located in it.
• HostId is printed to the screen when the system is booting up.

Main Menu -> System -> Imprint...

You will see a window similar to below:

Field "System" - it is a scanner's name/type
Field "Serial Number" - it is a scanner's SerialNo (System Serial Number)
Fields "Software" and "Version" - are used embedded software name and version
